Al Marston
Al Marston became General Manager at CREST in October 2025 following a decade of achievements as CREST’s Operations Manager, leading the technical and design team responsible for the region-wide expansion and modernization upgrade to an all-digital P25 network. He brings to his role a vast wealth of hands-on technical experience and industry knowledge that includes designing and implementing high reliability electronic communication and life safety systems. A proven specialist in communications networks, RF design, closed circuit TV and fiber optic systems, Al is in his element at CREST and he is dedicated to keeping pace with ever-evolving advancements in technology.
Prior to joining CREST, Al was a Special Projects lead with BC Rapid Transit Company Ltd., parent company of TransLink. Educated in electronics at Camosun College and BCIT, Al also has a Masters Certificate in project management from the University of Victoria. He is a member of the Applied Science Technologists & Technicians of BC (AScT) and the Project Management Institute (PMP).
When not at work, Al can be found chasing salmon and tuna.
