John Wakefield

John is the Emergency Program Coordinator for the Salt Spring Island Electoral Area. In this role, he supports and collaborates with stakeholders and volunteers to mitigate, prepare, respond and recover from emergencies.

His career leading and managing businesses and organizations includes the public, private, not-for-profit sectors. John is passionate about community service, and bringing his skills and expertise to help organizations set and achieve their mission and goals.

John holds a degree in communications and geography from Simon Fraser University.
