Brian Sims is currently the Executive Director, Public Safety and Policing Support with the Policing and Security Branch, Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General. Prior to taking on that role, Brian was a Director with the Civil Forfeiture Office – where he helped manage the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of the multi-million dollar program.
Brian brings to CREST a broad spectrum of government experience. His assignments involved working in the offices of several provincial cabinet Ministers including Public Safety,offices including Public Safety, the Attorney-General and Ministry of Natural Resources. Before joining government, Brian was a practicing lawyer, graduating from the University of British Columbia Law School in 2001. He was called to the bar in 2002.
