Al Marston
Al became General Manager at CREST in October 2025 following a decade of achievements as Operations Manager, leading the technical and design team responsible for the region-wide expansion and modernization upgrade to an all-digital P25 network. Keeping pace with ever evolving technology, Al brings to his role a vast wealth of hands-on technical experience and industry knowledge that includes designing and implementing high reliability electronic communication and life safety systems, specializing in communication networks, RF design, closed circuit TV and fiber optic systems.
Prior to joining CREST, Al was a Special Projects lead with BC Rapid Transit Company Ltd., parent company of TransLink. Educated in electronics at Camosun College and BCIT, Al also has a Masters Certificate in project management from the University of Victoria. He is a member of the Applied Science Technologists & Technicians of BC (AScT) and the Project Management Institute (PMP).
When not at work, Al can be found chasing salmon and tuna.
