Mayor David ScreechDIRECTOR

    David Screech was first elected to View Royal Council in 2002. He served as a Councillor from 2002 until 2014 and was elected as View Royal’s fourth mayor on November 15, 2014.

    Mayor Screech serves as chair to the Finance & Administration Committee for the Town’s Committee of the Whole. He is the Town’s representative to the Capital Region District’s Board, Hospital Board, and Housing Trust Fund Commission, and also serves as the Town’s liaison to the Capital Region Emergency Service Telecommunications Inc. (CREST), the Police Building Liaison Committee, and the South Island Prosperity Association.

    The owner of a successful and long standing Victoria area business, he brings his business experience to his work with Council. A long time Victoria area resident, Mayor Screech, along with his wife Jean and their family, moved to North View Royal in 1998. Prior to being elected to Council he was active in the community as Director of the View Royal Community Association, a member of the Parks Advisory Committee, and President of the Friends of Knockan Hill Park Society.
